Charities and Donations

Amy Lee Hoffmann strongly believes that good business starts with making a difference and giving back to the community and the world.  There are several ways she gives back to those in need.  Through her REMAX Elite office, she donates a portion of her commission to the Children's Miracle Network.  This charity raises funds for children's hospitals while creating  community awareness of children's health issues throughout North America. RE/MAX offices across North America have raised more than $9 million in 2015 for kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

In addition, Amy Lee donates an additional portion of her commission to one of four charities (Client's choice).  Although there are many charities in need of help, Amy Lee researched and chose charities where the majority of the money goes directly to the people/animals in need.  These charities also have excellent ratings and are very transparent in their operations.  Please see the breakdown of the four charities.....

Free to Smile Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) humanitarian organization which is dedicated to supporting and sustaining comprehensive, quality free surgical and dental services (Cleft Lip Repair) to poor and underprivileged children throughout the world. Many children in third-world countries with such defects are shunned by society. Some of these children will go as far as wearing a brown bag over their head to walk to school.   Free to Smile’s team of doctors donate all services to patients at no charge. To ensure all donated money is used most efficiently to help the children in need, all doctors and volunteers pay our own airfares to our mission sites. www.freetosmile.org

Homes for Our Troops builds mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post-9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. They are a privately funded nonprofit organization helping the most severely injured Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. www.hfotusa.org

Freedom Service Dogs is a nonprofit organization based is an Englewood, Colorado that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and training them for individual client needs. Clients include children, veterans and active duty military, and other adults. Their disabilities include autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorders. Unlike most service dog organizations, we rescue our dogs. FSD does not have a puppy-breeding or raising program. Our experience is that there are plenty of unwanted dogs in shelters that are eager to get a 2nd chance and a whole new career. www.freedomservicedogs.com
